Photo Manipulation on Hiatus in the Media

I think that these photoshopped images are amazing. Yes, I do believe that it is wrong for the media to do this to try and manipulate everyone, but you HAVE to give credit for some of the editors. I mean, look at the difference. It's amazing. Although the picture to the left isn't the best example, i think that they do a great job with a lot of these pictures. It kinda does bother me, because I know so many people that are affected by models and looks that it influences them, which I don't like. I've always told them otherwise, but they fail to listen which proves the giant influence that the media has on everybody else.

I think that this current trend of celebrities saying "no" to Photoshop is great. Everyone looks up to celebrities in one way or another. If they say no to Photoshop and show their true face, it goes to show how much celebrities want to make a difference. They know how the media can influence many in good ways, or bad ways. I think it's great how they want to prove to their fans that make up and photoshop does not define life. I think it's a trend that will not stick, sadly, although I hope it will stick.

I think that the method of magazines using "normal" people is great. It gives those discouraged people the encouragement, knowing that there is a chance for their face to be on a magazine. I think it's fine to see a magazine without make up or photoshop masking its true meaning.

  1. I also agree that it's wrong for the media to photoshop the images because it sends a very bad message towards the public.

  2. hey Ray!

Yeah, I agree with your post because photoshop is amazing, but I think that we shouldn't over use it because I think that seeing a normal picture of others is better than pictures that are being edited.
